It’s been a while since I’ve started working, with all the workloads coming in now and then, I couldn’t help myself but to think, what have I done for the Lord in the past few months?

Talking about this, I have nothing else but to admit that I’ve done nothing worth for Him. All I’ve been doing is to complaint about my working life. To complaint about the life I’m in. I’ve not connected myself to him. Getting there, I began to start asking, am I still the child of God whom I thought I’ve always declared myself to be? I began to wonder and question my own faith. I fear of picking up my old bad habits again. I fear of losing my FAITH.

When all that started to happen, I started to become desperate. I started to feel empty. I started to become hungry for something. I turned to many people but none could provide. I began to realize I’m looking at the wrong direction.

I knelt down and began to pray. Crying~!! Hitting my very own chest~!! And so I started to lift up my hands and cry out, “LORD~!! LORD~!!! LORD~!!!!”

It was Friday that day, I wanted to reconnect to the Lord…… there were silence…. I let down my hands, looking at the ground, feeling helpless…. And so a voice came and tell me, go to church… I obeyed.

And thinks changed in me, I started to stand for what I believe. And the test began. Aaron asked me whether to still go to church if there’s only me attending. I didn’t answer this to Aaron but actually NO. The temple resides in our heart. Church is not made of a building, CHURCH IS MADE OF THE PEOPLE OF GOD~!! Wherever we are, as long as there’s more than 3 people gathered to worship Him, there’s a church.

Another test came moments ago, it is the time of the year where people in my company gathers to pray to their idols. Miss L asked if I’m going down to pray, I said you go ahead, smiling. I refused to accept the offering food they gave. I usually don’t refuse, but this time I begin to make some change.

For some reason, I felt peaceful after doing that. However I’m prepared for more, I want to make a change, I want to influence, and I want to make a difference. Time will tell, but of course I need to start the initiatives to see those results. PERSEVERE~!!! KEEP HOLDING ON~!! GAMBATTE JACKY~!!

Thank GOD…Amen

Wow I been so busy that I have totally lost in touch with my blog, my frens and most importantly God~!!

But thank God for being merciful and being such a great reminder that I need to stick on the right path.

I have been spending time with my family at the very least however, for most of the time, they would ask me to follow them to temples… whenever I travel they would always ask me to wear this Thai Charm Pendants (IT CONTAINS THE THAI MONK’S ASH~!!!!!) and I don’t need them, cause I HAVE GOD~!!! I’d just remove them whenever they’re not around. It’s been an ordeal to me cause they’d always tease me about how my GOD doing, like if GOD is real, will such things happen, blah blah blah… I may lay low right now, but I believe God will give me an opportunity to strike down that barrier of theirs and let God work.

As I move along into this working life, I learn to see things clearer, the reality and how hard is it to live a life being a Christian. The company that I’m working for, Public Packages Asia are really firm into the Buddhism practice, they always ask each other to “pray to the Tua Pek Kong” downstairs” whenever things are not going smoothly for them. Also the Chairman of our company is also the President of Tzu Chi Organization, a Buddhist Organization that practices Buddhism merits. It may be easy for me to live a life of moderation, but deep down in my heart, its would be amazing to have a Christian community around. What can I do?
(P/S: I’d love to receive some comments or advises on this one)

As for my working timetable, it was cool and relax in the beginning but lately I had to work from 8am and reaches home at least at 8pm. Its very tiring and challenging where I had some dilemmas to switch to another company. However, I’ve decided to go through this hardship since its my first job, I do believe God placed my there for a reason, it will build up my perseverance that in time I am ready to face bigger challenges, I just know it~!!

I met up with Aaron and Zi Xiang weeks ago…. Aaron’s going through a rough time as well as I do, it makes me worry for him cause he looked so rugged and thinner now. We had some 2 hour chat in the kopitiam, it was good. It felt nice to have such conversations and catching up once a while. I miss lots of other people in my life too…. I really do, I just dun have the trend to call people up once in a while just to talk on the phone. I’d prefer meeting up with people so give me a call~!! Lets meet up and stay in touch…. =)

I’m also considering to include pictures I shot into this blog once I got myself a handy DSLR

Again I was reminded for the need to remain faithful in Him. As we enter the year 2010, through prayer, praise and worship I received 2 verses:

[Matthew 18:1-4] -

The Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven

1At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

2He called a little child and had him stand among them. 3And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

This verses tells us to be humble before him.

But He also said, become like little children, asking us to come before Him like a baby, who’s WEAK and vulnerable that needs to be protected and cared for. We ought to remember that we can’t hide anything from Him, so let us be TRANSPARENT to God and let Him fill us with his LOVE and GUIDANCE.

I believe this is a message to churches and youth groups that we need to learn how to take down our MASKS, our PRIDE and EGO and be true to ourselves. Let us be brave a enough to admit our weaknesses, nobody will laugh at you because we are all the same, full of SINS, WEAKNESSES and IMPERFECTIONS. That’s where we learn how to lean on God, to trust on the Heavenly Father.

[Proverbs 27:17] -

As irons sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. - NIV

God told us to lean towards one another as sisters and brothers of Christ. We need to learn to be more TRANSPARENT to one another so we could be ACCOUNTABLE to one another. But do not once think that leaders and pastors are perfect because they have their own struggles too, they too are accountable to others, to one another. None of us are perfect. Therefore, what ever position we are in church or where we serve, we are still equal before God. We all are like irons that need to sharpen each other.

Be reminded that accountability partners are NOT people who say things you want to hear. They will speak of TRUTH which will be what we like to hear and at time, it could be HURTFUL but its FOR YOUR OWN GOOD, for your better being.

So find someone you could trust. Who would be true to you. Who could keep your things confidential. Who would be naggy and scold you when you’re not doing the right thing. Who wants a better you~!!!

But you’ve got to be TRANSPARENT to them, else, how are they suppose to help you if you’re HIDING certain things from them?

There are people in your life who’s already waiting for you to open up to them, who’s ready to listen to you and help you. Just look closer, the people just around you. =)

We all are imperfect beings. And we need to be reminded that we are weak before our Heavenly Father. THAT WE ALL NEED HIM.

Therefore, let us come together as the body of Christ, to build one another and to glorify the Lord our God.

I’ve decided to start this blog because I want to make this my commitment to live my life along with Christ. A reminder was given when a leader shared a sermon about the story of The Wise and Foolish Builders. Quoted from:

[Matthew 7:24-27] saying 24″Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

Where the Wise builder built his house on a rock solid ground and when a storm came, the house withstood the wind and did not fall. While the Foolish builder built his house on a sand and fell with a great crash when the storm came.

Anyone who hears this would choose to follow the Wiseman’s path. I too want to do the same.

Similarly in the book of Luke, where it wrote about digging a hole into the rock and sand. Digging into the sand is easier but the outcome was obvious that it will not be able to hold it for long when the storm comes while it was the opposite when being built on a rock where it takes a lot of sweat and hardship to dig a hole into the rock. Compare this to our life, we need to build our life through hardships, perseverance and patience to obtain that wonderful future of our’s.

I have built my life since I was young through lies and greed. To be noticed and accepted. Though I have stop doing all this after accepting the Heavenly Father as my Lord and Saviour and learnt to be humble and live a life of moderation, it is not enough for me to be forgiven and I know it. Because by just stopping it and just stay down low would not change anything that I have accumulated with my own sinful nature. I have built a bad name, and I felt disgusting with all that in my life and the experiences I gave to the people in my life.

I, proclaiming all this here today as a tiny step for me to taking up that challenge, in the name of the Lord, to change my life, to stop doing anything that is sinful and to do things only of His will, and to glorify GOD for His wonderful love and mercy.

[2 Corinthians 5:17] said that “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”

[Mark 16:24] says that Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”

I want to do that. I may not be perfect, but I want to live a life that is honourable to God. And I hope that everyone else would think about this.

How are you living your life right now?
Are you doing things that is not sinful and is glorifying God?
ARE YOU DOING THINGS ON GOD’S WILL?!
